Debra Kozee
Debra Kozee has served as President of C&S International Brokers, Inc. since she formed the New York-based independent insurance brokerage in 1987. As CEO, Ms. Kozee develops new business, designs special insurance programs and oversees the firm's operation.
Ms. Kozee is a charter member and former chairperson of the East Coast chapter of the AON Entertainment/CNA Producer Advisory Council, an insurance broker's advisory council developed by CNA Insurance Company. She participated in the Independent Feature Project's IFP resource program, providing pro bono insurance counsel to members. Other professional associations include IFP, IDA/International Documentary Association, several chapters of Women in Film, League of Professional Theatre Women, The Broadway League and The ART/NYDocu Club and The Off Broadway Alliance. Ms. Kozee served on the Board of Directors as Treasurer of New York Women in Film & Television/NYWIFT.
Ms. Kozee has frequently been an invited guest speaker on insurance, and has addressed many organizations over the last several years, including the National Alliance of Musical Theatre Producers, the Alliance of Residence Theatres (ART/NY), Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts, AICP, The Broadway League, Performing Arts Services, Women Make Movies, International Television Association, Emerson College Film Department and the League of Professional Theatre Women, Real Screen, University of Connecticut and Stanford University.
The Alliance of Resident Theatres/New York-ART/NY presented C & S and Debra Kozee with their Local Hero Award in 1996 for a Risk Purchasing Group Plan that has saved member participants hundreds of thousands of dollars in combined insurance costs since 1996.
Irisol (Iris) Lugo
Iris Lugo joined C&S in March of 2004, as an assistant to Debra Kozee, President; she was soon promoted to Customer Service Representative. After obtaining her NYS Brokers License in December 2005, Iris became an Account Executive. In 2007 she was promoted to Senior Account Executive and Office Manager and in 2011 to Assistant Vice President
Iris’ duties include administering the insurance programs of over half of the firm’s clients in various facets of the entertainment, media and performing arts community including commercial theatre ventures and the A.R.T./NY Liability Insurance Program and the ART/NY Liability Insurance Program.
Iris has been an invited guest speaker by the DGA/Directors Guild of America and the IFP/Independent Feature Project speaking on Errors and Omissions/Media Liability Insurance and Fair Use Issues specifically for Documentary Filmmakers. Iris has also represented C & S at various Industry Events and Conferences over the last several years such as, NALIP, Real Screen and ShowBiz Expo.
Iris graduated from Drake Business School, Pohs Institute of Insurance and has taken several insurance and management classes at St. Johns University and through Philadelphia Insurance Company.
A native of Puerto Rico, Iris now resides on the Island of Staten with her son who is also very interested in theatre.

Carolyn V. Norton
Carolyn draws on over 35 years of experience in the insurance industry, with a specialization in entertainment, recreation, leisure and media risks. She has had extensive experience as an underwriting manager for several very successful entertainment insurance programs.
Prior to joining C&S International, Carolyn was Senior Vice President and Underwriting Manager for the Entertainment, Recreation & Leisure Division of AmWINS Brokerage of NY. Carolyn’s previous position was Vice President of the National Entertainment Media Division for Acordia, Inc. Specializing in programs for independent film producers, publishing, television, PBS, theater and other media related producers.
Carolyn has also been very active in the Special Events, Sports and Music and has provided insurance programs for many major music, sports and special events. Carolyn’s other business associations in the entertainment industry were with Willis Corroon, Acadia Risk Management (a Rockefeller Financial company), and Cohen Insurance where she was Vice President of Underwriting.
Carolyn has been a guest lecturer at the College of Insurance and other industry organizations. She has been active in many professional associations such as New York Women in Film and Television, Women Make Movies, Independent Film Project and the Film Arts Foundation.
